And no, this is not a delayed April Fool's joke. This is part of the series.

Also, this is the last Re:Booted page while I'm 17 years old! I'll be 18 this coming Wednesday! ^^

... Ugh, I'm actually a little nervous about this page. This really is not "random event for no reason" like I used to do. I really am going somewhere with this...

Guys... - I've got a chip on my shoulder this week (some might even call it a dreaded Black Doom Award! Mwahaha!) It got there after I played a demo of Super Mario 3D World in a Wii U display at a store.
And that chip is "Superguides".
I played SM3DW for about 20 minutes (3½ levels), and enjoyed every second of it. The gameplay was really smooth, the graphics were gorgeous, and everything just was great.
...Until I played level 6-3 (I believe), and died 3 times.
Yes, THREE. TIMES.
That was all it took for them to give the golden leaf "YOU SUCK" block.
I hated this in NSMBWii and NSMB2, and now I'm really annoyed that it's back in SM3DW.
It's not enough to prevent me from eventually getting a Wii U and this game, of course, but this has gotten to the level of complete ridiculousness.
"Nash, you don't have to use the thing. Shut up!"
The mere fact that it's there and some people will use it to easily bypass an otherwise difficult level, after only dying 3 times, is what annoys me.

TL;DR, Superguides are horrible and I wish they would go away.

I don't like super-guides either, however, I would rather that they would put an option where you could disable super-guides. That way for people like us who feel when the super-guide appears it's like a slap in the face can just make it not appear, but for the people who like it because they feel it is helpful on tough levels can still have it. That way both sides of the subject are happy! :D

TL;DR, Just give an option to remove it so everybody can (maybe) be happy.

poor luigi, he was caught in the explosion of the.. robotic bowser

hm, you'd think the robot would be able to take more damage from mario than normal bowser

@Luigi_96: Warning, The following is a short wall of text

This whole 'I hate Super Guide' conversation is both offensive and interesting (in a way). As an average player, I have a mixed taste for challenge and beating a level with ease. Making one is different, all that's needed is legitimate difficulty. But I think you should be acknowledgeing the fact that help is at hand and not being so troubled.

@StS (Guest): But see, that's really my problem: the fact that help is at hand.
If I were a game designer, I wouldn't want people just skipping a level I put time and effort into. I'd want them to beat the level, using the skills they've acquired through the course of the game, no matter how hard it is, because the game/level is just fun enough to keep people trying over and over again.
Mutant Mudds, as was mentioned a few pages ago, is a fine example of that principle. I got frustrated, quit a few times, but kept coming back to try again.
And guess what? No superguides there.
I mean no offence by this, of course. If you like/use superguides, well, have fun.
I just personally hate them.
